This is what I created with a tutorial. It is a lot harder than you would think. Trying to get it so that the smoke looks right is the hardest part.

I found one tutorial on how to draw a troll or something like that. You can't really do a tutorial with out knowing how to work illustrator.  I will look for more tutorials but I'm not very efficient in working illustrator.

I did like they showed us in the video and played around with the gradient fill. Then I went and played around with the patterns fill. I changed the color to some of it. Its not too difficult if you actually know what your doing.

The object hierarchy is when you you drag different tools out of the tool bar and make them stand on their own. It helps so you don't have to go find the tools your self. You can just have the certain tools your using right there at your finger tips.

I followed all the steps. Tracing the troll and darkening the lines. Then you add words and make them look cool.

You can click on certain things you want and put them into a group. That way you can just choose the group you want with out having to individually click on each image. Layers are just images stacked onto of each other.

I made stars. Then I added different effects to them with the appearance channel. I added different strokes to some figures. Then I changed the twisty-ness of the stars.

I don't know how to create a drop shadow. I couldn't log on to watch the videos last week. I spent all hour walking back and forth between here and the office trying to figure out why it wouldn't work.

I don't really know a lot about the tools in illustrator. They kind of confuse me. Im learning how to work somethings but its still no buena.

I used the tools we learned today to group these and put themin their own groups. I changed the colors. I also used tools from other videos to help me. I saved it in my own file not as the exercise file.

The magic wand tool gives you new ways to select objects. It draws a box around things. The lasso tool you draw around what you want. You can grab something from one side of the page and the complete opposite side of the page by drawing around them.

With point text there is just one point defining the text. When you change how your text sits. The texts moves not the anchor point. Area text is when you click and drag the text box. This make it so that the text automatically flows to the next line.
