10-31-11 VP
We went over the different kind of producers. There is a lot that a producer has to do. They basically control everything. The line producer i think would be my favorite type of producer. They are right on the line. Up close and personal making sure that everything goes as planned in the production.

They help with being a floor director. If you don't know them than you don't know then you won't know how to move the camera. Knowing all these commands makes being a floor director easier.

I worked on m TV. I didn't get very far. I got the feet of my TV done. I'm starting tomorrow at the beginning of Step 4.

The treatment is the story like a script of what the TV show is going to be like. The proposal is the idea that you give to the TV company. They then decide if they want your idea.
I took the test. I passed with flying colors. I got 100% on the test. Truth be told i didn't really study other than in class.

I worked on my TV. I got one little leg put on the TV. It took me forever but only because my computer is mentally challenged and I'm a blonde. Its coming along slowly but its getting there.

You have to have acrobatics. You have to make sure you don't get captured by the camera or hit in the head with it. You also have to have patience because sometimes its takes people some time to do what you need.
10-26-11 GD
I didn't get vert far on my TV. My computer is mentally challenged. Even ask Kaitlyn. I got a few more layers put on but they look kinda mental.

Gather information. Get as much information from the client as possible. Understand the problem. Ask as many stupid smart questions as possible so you understand how to solve the problem.

Trucks and dollies both move so those are the only two that requires you to move the tripod with the camera. A pan you move side to side as if you had bacon in it. A pedestal moves up and down. A tilt is just tilting the camera up or down you don't move it.
10-25-11 GD
I didn't get anything done today. I didn't accomplish anything with my TV. I had to restart and it still isn't working like it should. I'm going to restart tomorrow. I most likely won't get anywhere. This TV project is not working for me.

We went over all of our terms that are on the test. We practiced the terms. I learned that the terms aren't hard.
10-24-11 VP
Tilt to move the camera up or down. Pan to follow action with the camera moving from let to right or right to left. Pedestal to follow action with the camera on a tripod moving up and down. Truck to move camera and tripod left or right. Dolly moving tripod and/or camcorder in and out.

Our digital TV's are better than our old standard analogue because its faster. There is more resolution in digital. Meaning that you seen things better and more clear. It comes to you faster.

Making a tv is hard. Sleep is good for your soul. Taking notes actually helps you retain information.

When making a successful graphic design project you have to have many things. Strategy, concept, design, production and execution. Strategy, you have to have a design brief, convey the message, who are you talking to, what is being percieved.

THe visual and audio steps in a production are pretty important. The VU meter is the volume meter. The Wave form monitor is for monitoring videos.

Making a tv from scratch is hard and tedious work. For some odd reason computers hate me and i can't seem to ever get it to do what i need. Even though it is hard and tedious, it is a fun project.
10-19-11 GD
My approach would be to ask questions. When you don't know how to solve a problem you aren't going to get anywhere. So asking questions is my way to approach the prolem.

11-18-11 end of the day GD
I learned a lot about how to make things better. If you don't know what your client wants your going to fail and be fired. Now I'm learning how to create a TV from scratch.
10-18-11 GD
I wasn't here until like half way through the class. I didn't really hear any of what everyone talked about. As to how it would benefit I don't know.

start?
we will be starting by deciding what the producer wants to shoot. Where we are going to shoot the videe. And who is all going to be in our video.

10-11-11
We video taped multiple people getting beat up. We should have done more shooting if we had more time to. If we had the time we would have done more shots of each beating and probably done better editing and more scene changes so that it wouldn't have been as jumpy. We could have redone shots that didn't cut off heads. We also should have added ambiance in the back ground if we would have know that it would have helped.
We had an idea to drive around in a creepy van and selling candy to kids. That idea failed cause we didn't have a van or little kids to produce the video with. Our second idea was to have the principal do a peel in his Ford pick-up in an attempt to sell Fords. We changed our mind and decided to do a video for Mrs. Schmidt to get people to pay her.

What i learned.
I learned how to use all the different tools correctly. I also learned where all the tools all. What you can do with the tools and how to make selections easier.
Tools?
I didn't really read anything. I kinda just read the bell work and worked on the picture tutorials. I don't really know what any of the tools do.

today
We finished capturing our videos. We attempted to upload the videos to the computer but failed.
Examples
I like doing the examples better. I like them because they give you step by step and show you what it should look like. From the ones that i have done they also do interesting things. Also they give you other things to do if you have a MAC or PC depending on which one they do the tutorial with.
