This is what I created with a tutorial. It is a lot harder than you would think. Trying to get it so that the smoke looks right is the hardest part.

I did not accomplish much today. I got a little bit farther than I did yesterday. I still have  no idea how to do this.

I found a tutorial I like. I'm having trouble figuring how to work things on it though. It's difficult but I'm getting it done.

I found one tutorial on how to draw a troll or something like that. You can't really do a tutorial with out knowing how to work illustrator.  I will look for more tutorials but I'm not very efficient in working illustrator.

I did like they showed us in the video and played around with the gradient fill. Then I went and played around with the patterns fill. I changed the color to some of it. Its not too difficult if you actually know what your doing.

The object hierarchy is when you you drag different tools out of the tool bar and make them stand on their own. It helps so you don't have to go find the tools your self. You can just have the certain tools your using right there at your finger tips.

I followed all the steps. Tracing the troll and darkening the lines. Then you add words and make them look cool.
